Bacano Go! captured the dances of the Carnaval de Barranquilla's authentic groups and turned them into digital collectibles: the Carnaval de Barranquilla, a UNESCO-listed celebration, preserved and exported to the world with professional 3D animation using Motion Capture. Bacano Go! is an independent brand. We helped them with the animation, social media strategy, and distribution.
It got serious the day the team sat down with the leaders of the main comparsas. Image-licensing agreements were worked out with each group, and only then did the design begin: Cumbiamba el Tanganazo, Cipote Garabato, Las Puloy de Montecristo, To’ Monocuco, Las Marimondas de Barrio Abajo, El Mohicano Dorado. Respect first, design second.
The carnival collection To make them dance like the real thing, the animations were built with motion capture, recording the original carnival dances in high fidelity and transferring every step to the characters. No canned animations: the cumbia moves like cumbia.
NFT collectibles of the original carnival dances from the authentic parade groups, staged in scenarios built from the carnival’s own parades: La Guacherna, the Carnaval de los Niños, the Batalla de Flores. Each one a little piece of the party you can keep. Smart contracts split every sale automatically between the carnival group representatives and the creators.
Then came the least digital part: taking it to the carnival. Free trading cards as gifts, banners, flyers, and BTL everywhere. A giant Marimonda mascot working the streets all day, a deal with La Mega radio, and a Jeep full of characters touring Barranquilla. "Lots of fun" falls short.

Puloys on wheels During the carnival, LINE NEXT brought the project to its global NFT platform DOSI: a limited edition of 300,000 Marimonda-themed DOSI Citizen NFTs given to new users around the world, introducing the Carnaval de Barranquilla to a global audience. Read LINE’s announcement →
Beyond the carnival, Bacano Go! is about licensing characters: a roster of original IP built to be licensed, collected, and loved. The role: we served on the core team behind this work, across character design, 3D animation, and on-the-ground activation. It’s the project where the skills that became Emerito were forged, and the reason character IP and fair cultural licensing are in this studio’s DNA.
